Last Thursday, HoopsWorld was with Kobe Bryant when he spoke to students of a psychology class in UC Santa Barbara. He talked about a number of things regarding basketball and answered questions as well, including if he wants to be known as the greatest NBA player ever.
Bryant thinks it's never gonna happen.
“It’s not important to me,” Bryant said. “It’s impossible. Even with [Michael] Jordan, some people say he’s not the best ever. Some say it’s Magic [Johnson] or Bill Russell. That’s not a goal worth shooting for. I just want to win as many as I can.”
He also added that he can't be compared to Michael Jordan because he learned so much from MJ throughout his career. In other words, a student can never be as good as the teacher in his eyes. However, Kobe wants to win as much title as he could even if it means getting more rings than Jordan.
Hard to argue with Kobe. Everybody knows the "greatest of all-time" debate is all about opinions. Bryant just happens to only care about winning, and nothing says winning more than a championship.

Both Michael Jordan's Flight School and Kobe Academy are held annually at UC Santa Barbara.
